The stupid site won't let me post a comment about my couch. So I am making a new post that goes with it. My kids have walked, jumped, bounced etc.... on our couch. Rob plopped down on it the other day and that was the last straw. My couch broke! Instead of throwing in the towel and going to buy a new couch, Rob flipped it over, fixed and reinforced the broken board. Now it is like new! Yeah for handy dandy husbands.

Advice Please!
This is a NO judgement zone! I would like to hear your ideas about what to do with my room. Emily and I switched rooms back in June. Her new room is talked about in previous posts. My room however has been left untouched and I'm really starting to dislike the butterflies. There are a few things that must stay in the room. I don't really like the furniture (Rob picked it out) but it is solid oak and is staying.
I need an idea for wall colors. I have been thinking chocolate brown with white trim and either a light blue or lavender. The blanket is reversible chocolate/light blue and I like it. I would like to get shams in another color (those are just cases on them). Yes my Vermont teddy bear and Winnie the Pooh stay. They are both special gifts. If I move the bed this is the wall I would like to put the t.v. on.
Oh, the dresser. I would like to get a smaller flat screen to hang on the wall. Our travel t.v./dvd player has got to go. All of my little picture frames are brushed nickel. There are 5 of them and I would like to keep them.
This is just the corner before the window.

A little bit of summer
It has gotten cold here pretty early this year and today I found 2 things that made me smile. Our local meat market sells these beautiful red ripe strawberries all summer. About a month ago they said they were sure that they were done for the season. Today I went in to get a ham hock and there on the counter was these beauties. My family loves them and I just knew it would make their day.

Jeremy and I were raking up the leaves and turning over the gardens today when I saw this little viola. They are my favorite flowers. With mornings below freezing and several frosts I thought they had all closed up and died for the winter. They gave me hope for next spring after the cold miserable winter we are sure to have.
