Lego's

This post is for our friends who LOVE Lego's. Every bit of these designs are made out of Lego's. Even the platforms are made of Lego's.

I missed one of the dwarfs on this one. I will have to go back and get a pic of him.

Yes, even the flames and ledge are made from Lego's. Emily has decided that she wants to be a Lego master when she grows up.

Just a little crazy camping.

We shared Christmas dinner with my aunt Rita and her daughter Sarah. They are our Disney buddies and you can often find us hanging out there together. I found these matching T's at the Disney store by our house for $6.00. Mickey has red shorts and green shoes, perfect for Christmas day.
Our dinner was at the Disney campgrounds and after dinner we walked around to see the decorations people had at their camp sites. I must say that these travelers go way over the top with their decorations.

The table has a train set running and just to the right you can see a black bowl near the ground. There are 8 of these Mickey shaped bowls with a name of each of Santa's reindeer and a carrot for them.

Christmas in a hotel room

Emily got a planner for 2012, Hershey's cookies n cream bites and a bracelet.
Church socks and Sour Patch Kids. Just what he wanted!
Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. These books are awesome and a good laugh.
P.J.'s! Jeremy has once again out grown his pajama's. He is now pushing 5'9" and the cool Michigan jammies grammy made him are way too short.
Emily loves watching The Big Bang Theory and Sheldon has become her favorite. One of his catch phrases is Bazinga. We really surprised her with this shirt.

Rob was glad that he didn't even have to get out of bed to open presents. The kids got him a new Dad frame and large print playing cards as a joke.
Emily got a new book by Obert Skye called Beyond Foo.
Pig pile! Hotel = not too many rules from mom and dad.
Our little tree and stockings. The kids got to open their other presents at home so we didn't have to haul them there and back.

On the road again....

We threw caution to the wind and our warm clothes in the trunk and headed south for this Christmas. The Florida sign is always a welcome site and it starts the excitement for the 2 day car ride to end.
Rob proved he can sleep any where. Here he is, bent like a pretzel, behind me, in the back seat. Shhhhh..... don't tell him this is posted here.

Checking things off the list.

So glad this task is all done. I love when the Christmas cards are ready for the post office.
This little surprise showed up in the mail today. It is one of those antennae toppers for your car. It came in a package of fun things for our trip to Disney. The note inside said it is a golf ball but my aunt likes to think of it as a snowball heading for the Florida sun. I will be glad to leave the snow and cold behind for a week in the sun.

Creative Fun

The hospital that Emily goes to for her diabetes offers a support group. They get together every other month with cool things for the kids to do and seminars for the parents. It's a great way to network and I have learned so much from these classes. In December they do a craft at a local business. This year we did a mosaic picture frame. Emily is very creative and set to work to make her vision come together.
In the car on the way over I had said that if I could make one I would have a snowman on mine. Well the parents were there to be supportive and as I watched Emily create I realized that she was including my snow man.
This is the almost finished project. You have to wait for the glue to dry 24 hours then you grout it. We will finish it up on Wednesday.

Oh Christmas!

Every Christmas I switch what I use on the Christmas tree. This year we are using our Disney items. These 4 totes are things I use every year. There are things like table linens, story books, the tree skirt and lights. There are ornaments that I use both years also.
These 2 totes are our Disney items. That is our theme this year.
Our tree
These 3 totes are our snowman totes. They have to stay in the basement this year.
I thinned out what we would use this year because we are not going to be home. So this is how things turned out. We have to have a nativity, Christ is the reason for this season.
The finished Christmas tree.
