Piston's game
One of the Detroit Piston's players, Ben Wallace, likes to donate tickets to the American Diabetes Association. We took advantage of his donation and we went last Wednesday night. Rob had to work so Emily took her friend Justice with us. It was a fun night and I loved that it was $1.00 hot dog night too. I think I spent a total of $25.00 and that included the $10.00 parking fee.
Before you look at both of these pictures you have to know something. I was very tired when the boys reminded me that they needed haircuts. I had worked an event all day and really just wanted to go to bed. I did Jeremy's hair first and this is the first time we had to actually shave Jeremy's sideburns with a razor. We had Rob do that part since Jeremy and I have never shaved our faces before.
Before you judge me and this next picture please remember that I was very tired. I had cut Rob's hair with the #4 guard on and he complained it wasn't short enough so I went ahead and re-cut his hair with the #2 guard on. When I am finished buzzing the boys hair I take the guard off and do the back of their necks and over their ears. Well, while I was doing this to Rob I saw a couple of long hairs and, well .............
Disney Day 3
Thursday was the best weather again. Thursday also brought the sadness that we would be leaving for freezing cold Michigan the next day. We headed to the Magic Kingdom to see the Marching band perform. It was awesome because our family has seen so many parades at Disney and now it was Emily's turn to march the parade route.
The landscapers are just amazing with the art that they come up with to make every garden interesting.
Disney Day 2
Wednesday brought us more sunny weather and a concert at Downtown Disney. This is the major shopping area for all things Disney.
This is concert band 1. They are the top band in our school. Emily is in the back with the rest of the percussion section.
Disney Trip with my Mom
I was so excited to go to Florida in February with my mom to see Emily and her music department perform at Disney. After a very long day at the airport we arrived on Monday evening and got ready for the week ahead of us. The following pictures are from Epcot. In all my years of going to Disney we rarely stopped to enjoy the sights at Epcot. With my mom we stopped at every one. I was surprised at the beautiful architecture I found. This is our adventure on Tuesday, Enjoy!
Oops, I put the two "ball" pictures in reverse order.
At Epcot you can "travel" around the world. There are 11 countries to visit so I picked one picture from each one to share with you. This is Mexico and an aztec pyramid.

Never Grow Up
So I have been pondering and I would like to know who said my little girl could grow up? I have been having a great time looking back on her life but I have to admit it has brought tears to my eyes. I wonder if I have done all I can do to help her prepare for the adult world. Did I make the right choices, did I fight the right battles, did I tell her I love her enough, could I have done anything different? Then I look at this beautiful, intelligent, compassionate young woman that I love and am so proud of and I realize that I must have done something right. In just a few short weeks my little girl will be sixteen and I can't wait to see what is in store for her. Happy Birthday Emily!

Disney performance & Marching down Main Street
I am only going to post a little bit of the footage from both performances so you don't get bored. I am so proud of the kids, they sounded awesome! We received compliments all day long. One person even came out of a store to see if it was a professional concert band playing.
