Homecoming Dance

Emily dressed and ready to go to the homecoming dance.

Jeremy called these her shimmery glitter shoes.  I painted her fingers and toes to match them.  I forgot to get a picture of her purse.  It was shimmery glitter too!

My not so little girl looking great for homecoming.  She had that smile all day today.  Hey! that's her purse on the piano.

Emily and Will ready to leave for dinner and dancing.  Well lookie there.  I didn't even realize her purse was in this picture too.

Powder Puff

Emily all decked out in her "uniform" for the powder puff game.  It's her favorite color Pink!

By luck of the draw she was got to wear # 27, that's her birth date.  I did the creative pony tail so no one could tug on it.

Where's Emily?  Look for her #27.  Waiting her turn to play.

I think if you click on this picture it will enlarge.  When you do that you will discover that this is the D-team aka some of the senior boys dressed up to "cheer" on the senior girls.  They did the half time show and danced to "I'm sexy and I know it".  This is their kick line.  It was the funniest part of the game.

That's Emily waiting for the whistle.

Senior girls win! Final score 30 - 20.  Way to go girls!!

Team Emily's Hope 2012

Ok so this is, back row: Jacob, Jeremy, Joe and Justin (I guess your name had to start with J to be in this row) middle row: Yvonne, Jan, Michelle and Teresa. front row: Emily, Sydnie and Donna. Not pictured Robert (he was at the potty)

Our fearless leader!

Is the rainbow a sign of hope?  This was coming off the back side of the fountain and we neared the end of the walk.

Emily and Sydnie with our symbol painted on.  Hey, where's Erin?

Dorks, I mean cousins.  Emily, Jake and Jeremy after the walk. It was a beautiful day and I pray we can find a Cure for Type 1 diabetes!

MEAT!

I LOVE September!  Yes, I am also very odd.  September is when we call our farmer and have him get a grain fed cow ready to be butchered.  It's sad for the cow but we pay below grocery store prices and a side of beef fills our freezer for the entire year.  Another bonus is that it is very lean meat.  I usually have to add a little splash of water to the pan so I don't burn it. Yeah Beef!

That didn't take long.

I'm sure my kids are going to kill me for posting these but hey, they never look at this blog.  This is what I found when I went to get the kids for dinner at 5:30.  Emily was out cold on her floor and Jeremy was curled up in bed.  This is only day 3 of early morning seminary and school.

First day of school 2012

Emily is all excited to start her senior year of high school.  Might I mention that I took these pictures at 5:15 a.m. before the kids left for their first day of seminary before school.

Jeremy was all smiles for his first day of high school.

There is a tradition at our high school that the incoming freshman are walked in on a rope.  They are lead by the drum line who at 7:30 in the morning were quite loud.  Doesn't Jeremy looked so thrilled to be walking in holding a rope like a kindergartner on a field trip?

This is the cake I made.  I had a problem with the frosting melting because the humidity was so high.  It was still yummy.

Mckay, Senator Robertson, Michael and Jeremy

Jeremy getting his special tribute from Senator Robertson.

The above pictures are:
Top, the boys taking their oath
Bottom, the boys and all of the other previous Eagle Scout during the re-dedication ceremony

Just after we pinned his Eagle award on Jeremy.

So handsome.

Each boy got to place their name plate on the plaque that hangs in our church.

Jeremy delivering his thank you speech.  All in all the night was really cool and everything went off without a hitch.  We are so proud of Jeremy and his drive to earn his Eagle rank at the age of 14.
